Compassion at Fresh Start extends to all living beings, which is why we are so proud of our Canine Rescue & Resettlement Mission. As an ongoing, internally driven initiative, this program represents our ability to mobilize resources quickly. We step in to rescue dogs from high-risk situations, funding their transportation and coordinating with trusted veterinary and rehoming partners across the western United States to ensure they get the care they need and the permanent homes they deserve.

For these animals, our mission is quite literally the difference between life and death. By pulling dogs from high-kill shelters, addressing their medical and behavioral needs, and carefully matching them with forever families, we are transforming fear into joy. This tireless effort relies on the unwavering spirit of our volunteers and the support of our community, ensuring that no dog is left behind or forgotten when a fresh start is possible.
